Smaller Lights

Panel 1: Moth with huge black wings and a glowing yellow bulb charm perches on a porch railing under a glaring porch light at night. Panel 2: Crumb, a lopsided toast heel with a missing corner and tiny boots, carefully sets down a small lamp beside Moth on the porch railing. Panel 3: The big porch light is off, leaving Moth softly illuminated by the small warm lamp, both look calm and tender in the quiet night. — 01 Moth settles on the porch rail, drawn yet again to the harsh porch light buzzing above.
02 Crumb shuffles quietly with a tiny glowing lamp, placing it gently beside the moth.
03 The big light blinks off; the small flame hums warm — sometimes less glare is the cure.
