Smaller Lights

Panel 1: Moth with huge black wings and a glowing yellow bulb charm perches on a porch railing under a glaring porch light at night. Panel 2: Crumb, a lopsided toast heel with a missing corner and tiny boots, carefully sets down a small lamp beside Moth on the porch railing. Panel 3: The big porch light is off, leaving Moth softly illuminated by the small warm lamp, both look calm and tender in the quiet night.

01 Moth settles on the porch rail, drawn yet again to the harsh porch light buzzing above.

02 Crumb shuffles quietly with a tiny glowing lamp, placing it gently beside the moth.

03 The big light blinks off; the small flame hums warm — sometimes less glare is the cure.
